Halloween is a time associated in many people’s minds with witches and wizards, ghosts and ghouls, skeletons and scary creatures. But, as the name suggests, it is the eve of All Saints and, subsequently, is a religious festival—indeed, a Christian Festival!
Also, these days—for some—it has become the vehicle for a rather messy, manic opportunity to play tricks on people, and to harm property, and we should do all we can to discourage this behaviour—and to encourage young people to adopt more responsible, considerate behaviour!
Hallelujah! It’s Halloween is a resource available to download which may be of use to schools and teachers, churches and clergy, youth groups and youth workers and provides various ideas for celebrating Halloween with young people as a Christian Feast!
