At The Assembly Line we’re passionate about places
and businesses and connecting the people around them

The Assembly Line is a consultancy, led by Diane Cunningham that connects people with their place and businesses with their customers and clients.

We specialise in project management for places and business services companies, bringing expertise from the public and private sector to manage projects that impact high streets and grow client relationships.

In places we launch and improve street markets, create opportunities for businesses to thrive, create visions and build communication plans to reach a wide range of stakeholders across high streets.

For businesses, we integrate sales and marketing to launch new services, create and deliver marketing campaigns to grow clients, build market presence and client relationships and develop compelling stories using customer and contract data.

We bring a strong network and expertise from the private sector and local government to manage projects that impact high streets and grow client relationships.

We advise, create and manage projects from inception to evaluation in a no-nonsense, practical way making sense of disparate strands to deliver cost effective results.

We launch and improve street markets, support enterprise and engage businesses around high streets, connecting people with place.

Our founder, Diane Cunningham is an Expert on the High Streets Task Force, was appointed to the inaugural London Market Board and is a Fellow of the Institute of Place Management.

We launch new services and build client relationships for business and financial services companies and those working with local government.

We do this by advising people in senior, client-facing roles on their marketing and business development, particularly in regulated, services businesses.

London Borough of Tower Hamlets commissioned a Markets Improvement Plan for their 10 markets. The council has more market days than any other London Borough, managing 48 markets, 1,300 pitches and more than 20 streets over seven days.

Southwark Council commissioned a project to examine the health of businesses on Walworth Road to develop a medium-term economic vision for the high street in the context of the redevelopment of Elephant & Castle town centre.

Walthamstow High Street was the capital’s first-ever Night Time Enterprise Zone. Waltham Forest Council created a multidisciplinary team  to understand the challenges facing businesses and the support needed to open later.

We work with regulated business services teams and places to create compelling stories about customers, clients, high streets , markets and companies to uncover the stories behind the data using infographics, case studies and video.
