Fr Dean Atkins is an enthusiastic (he burns out quickly) 30-something (he's almost 40) priest who has been Youth Chaplain (he has no formal youth work qualifications) for the Diocese of Llandaff since 2001 (he thinks it's time he moved on) and is also priest in charge of the Parish of Roath St Saviour in Cardiff.
He is laid back (leaves everything to the last minute), alert (he pretends he is in control of things when actually he has done very little planning), and has worked hard to put this website together (he has spent two weeks trying to remember assemblies he has done and wishing he had filed them away neatly).
He has many years experience of planning and leading assemblies (he hates early mornings) creating resources for youth leaders, clergy and teachers (he sits in front of his computer for hours pretending he is working) organising youth events and providing opportunities for young people to grow in the Christian Faith (he has spent many hours in a damp tent in the middle of a field).
He is forward looking (he still has an awful lot to learn) and would love to hear from you, particularly if you have used an assembly from this website (he hates criticism) and especially if you are able to offer any feedback or suggestions. Above all, he hopes this website is of some use to someone (it cost him £38 and it's almost Christmas).
